Conran & Partners has redesigned the interiors for the 110-room Park Hotel in Bangalore, India, which is scheduled to open on 25 June. The hotel is trying to elevate its status from threeto five-star ‘urban resort’, says a Conran & Partners spokeswoman. The design fuses the craft and colour of historical India with the technology and progress of modern India, she adds. The lobby features a reception desk designed to appear like a ‘floating stone plinth’.
