RCA shortlists for rector post

The Royal College of Art this week shortlisted five candidates to succeed Professor Tony Jones as rector when he leaves in the summer (DW 19 January).

The shortlist is believed to include pro-rector Professor Christopher Frayling and possibly Jones’ controversial predecessor Jocelyn Stevens. Interviews will be held in the third week of April with a recommendation going to the RCA’s governing bodies by the end of April.

Meanwhile, the RCA has so far raised more than 1m-worth of pledges in its centenary year campaign to secure 100 bursaries.
