Heal’s is opening its second largest store, in Kingston-upon-Thames, this weekend. Virgile & Stone has created a new look for the Storehouse-owned retailer, with a glass façade and a tall canopied entrance. The three-storey site formerly housed a discount store. ‘The design had to be in keeping with the other Heal’s stores, but with specific site design elements,’ says a Heal’s spokeswoman. Key to the design is an internally-illuminated etched glass panel framed in steel on the basement landing.

Exhibition and interiors specialist Fern Green has designed the BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, which opens at London’s Natural History Museum on Saturday.
