Coleman joins FutureBrand

The Coleman Group is to become part of The FutureBrand Company, taking on the name adopted by companies within its sister corporate identity conglomerate Diefenbach Elkins (DW 16 April).

The change will take one to two years, says FutureBrand’s New York president and creative director Claude Salzberger. Coleman will meanwhile use the strapline “a FutureBrand company”.

Salzberger says the two groups – both owned by US giant Interpublic – will be “exploiting opportunities together”.

This week’s name change covers London subsidiary Diefenbach Elkins Davies Baron, as well as offices in Mexico and Madrid. FutureBrand is headed by chairman John Elkins, with Salzberger handling offices in the Americas.

European managing director and creative director David Davies says the move brings together “a compelling mix of disciplines”. There is, he adds, “fantastic expertise under one banner”.
