Investors in People backs Brazil report

Investors in People UK, the national standards organisation for good practice in employee training and development, is to launch a Web-based annual report next week, created by Brazil Design.

This is the first time the organisation has issued its annual report exclusively on-line in preference to producing a printed version, says Brazil Design director Adrian Garcia-Sierra. This decision was taken, he adds, on the basis of access and cost.

‘The Investors in People website is getting a lot of hits and it was felt the access and reach of the website was the medium for conveying the information. It has a higher visibility – that is more cost-effective – than the relatively small number of copies that are distributed when you do a printed report,’ Garcia-Sierra explains.

The annual report has been created as a dedicated ‘sub-section’ of the organisation’s website, he adds. The brief also stipulated that the report should be downloadable and easily printable.

The consultancy commissioned photographer Dave Lee to take imagery ‘depicting Investors in People’s style and identity’.

Brazil Design was appointed earlier this month without a pitch, having designed Investors in People’s ten-year anniversary report at the end of last year.
