Restructure at Coleman Planet

Brand packaging group Coleman Planet is going through a restructure, losing one director and refocusing the business within parent The Coleman Group Worldwide.

Director David Batchen had been with the group for 16 years. He is leaving “to develop his interests in activities which sit outside the core Coleman Planet strategy”, according to a consultancy statement. Managing director Elizabeth Finn declines to comment on whether he was made redundant. Batchen also declines to comment.

The group is looking to boost its strategy and planning resource by internal reorganisation and bringing in new people. It also plans to develop global and regional services within The Coleman Group. “This will include intra group secondments to broaden cultural experience for designers,” says a Coleman Planet spokesman. Planet joined the Coleman Group 18 months ago.

Coleman Planet won The Grocery Advertising Awards for best packaging, for its Crosse & Blackwell product New York Take Out.
