CEO of a conglomerate – what a mug’s game

I was intrigued to see that Patrick Smith will be ‘anointed’ chief executive of Europe at FutureBrand. (News, DW 16 September).

These big, global groups really take things seriously, we’d just give him a desk, mug and phone.
