Design Bridge booms in SE Asia

Continuing its lucrative banking work in South East Asia, Design Bridge has designed a new identity for the 40-branch Bank NISP in Indonesia.

Design Bridge is performing so well in the region that chief executive for Asia-Pacific Philip Mawder says the consultancy anticipates opening one or more offices instead of using agents.

Mawder says: “Things are going well. A Design Bridge office has to be on the cards. The question is how many and where.”

Bank NISP, based in and around Jakarta on the island of Java, is privately owned and has a high profile, relative to Indonesia’s 190 mostly regional banks.

The consultancy is currently implementing the identity through guideline manuals and signage. Design Bridge has previously worked for Bank Bali and the national bank BNI.

Meanwhile, Design Bridge’s work for soft drinks company F&N Coca-Cola continues. The consultancy has redesigned eight packs for F&N, a company based in Singapore and Malaysia. Coca-Cola bought into F&N two years ago. Further packaging work is in the pipeline.

And Design Bridge has designed a new identity for forestry company Asian Agri. The company is fast becoming one of the biggest players in the forestry world and is active in Scandinavia and North America. The identity is now being implemented.
