Ever heard of that famous designer Mary Jane Conran? You soon might if Terence Conran takes his desire to be a banned substance any further.

In response to a question posed by a gardening magazine about what plant he would be, Conran declared: ‘I would be marijuana, simply because it gives so much pleasure to so many people.’
