The Science Museum has appointed Taxi Studio to revamp its corporate and private events brochure, with roll-out scheduled from September.
The Bristol consultancy beat shortlisted groups Johnson Banks and The Holmes Wood Consultancy to the project, which carries a five-figure design budget, following a six-way credentials pitch at the beginning of June.
‘We’ve had the existing brochure for two years, and things have moved on in terms of venues and services in that time,’ explains Science Museum events manager Christine Mathews-Sheen.
‘Clients’ favourite venues have changed,’ she adds. ‘We now offer ourselves for private events and weddings; and we have our own wine list and corporate gifts. The emphasis of the brochure needed to change.’
According to Mathews-Sheen, the design brief for the brochure is still in development.
However, she also explains that Taxi Studios has been tasked with creating literature that is ‘different from anything else on the market’. Mathews-Sheen adds that the brochure is likely to remain in circulation for up to two years.
