Redundant C&A staff consoled by website

C&A has launched a website exclusively for its UK staff to support them after they have left the company. The site – www.la-canda.co.uk – the ‘la’ stands for ‘life after’ – will enable employees to stay in touch with their retail chums for the next two years.

‘Some staff have been with the company for over 40 years,’ says C&A’s soon-to-be-ex-head of corporate communications Chris Williams. ‘The site is a small token of C&A’s appreciation of its workforce.’ The last two UK stores close on 31 May in Bradford and Hounslow.
