Shinty logo cims to hit it off with youth

The governing body for the 2000-year-old Scottish sport of shinty has a new logo and newsletter by Shaw Marketing and Design.

The new image is intended to improve the Camanachd Association’s domestic and international profile. It follows the recent rebranding of rival sport Irish hurling to attract a younger audience. “They knew they had to dust themselves down,” says group founder Jonathan Shaw of the shinty organisation.

The new identity features two camans – curved sticks – and a ball set against a stag’s head.

The Edinburgh consultancy is now working on support material for the association. A corporate brochure will be out by the end of the summer, says Shaw.
