The traditional and non-PC seaside resort icons Punch and Judy are to appear on a set of Royal Mail stamps from 4 September. A strip of six first-class stamps features Punch, along with fellow puppets the Policeman, Crocodile, Clown, Beadle and Punch’s wife Judy. Photographer Keith Bernstein has given the puppets an animated look by highlighting their cartoonish qualities. The presentation pack, which opens into a miniature Punch and Judy booth, as well as the cover, have been designed by Howard Brown.
