Josep Rubua Sola, designer of the bull-inspired Miura motorcycle displayed at the Royal College of Art/ RAC show, was revelling in the publicity at the launch of the event. But he was not tempted to wheel the beast outside for the benefit of the paparazzi who wanted to photograph it in its natural habitat – the street. An insider explained that an earlier attempt at such a stunt had resulted in the ‘bike being dropped’. And Sola could not afford to spend another three days repairing it.
