Employers should get their presentation straight

Further to your editorial comment (DW 6 November), I’d like to expand the point.

Having been a regular on the freelance circuit over the past six months, I have been kept fascinated and entertained by the way prospective employers present themselves.

While many suffer from “outside the box” stutter, or the particularly nasty “ghost teamworking” affliction, there is often a stark contrast between their walk and their talk.

I have always tried to produce work with personality and share Paul King’s viewpoint. Like many others, my folio is full of rejected work and is often praised.

I think it’s high time agencies and consultancies alike put their feet where their mouths are – not in them.

And creatives: how many times have you found your client to be more receptive than your account handler?
