Inovus updates Meningitis Trust to show more caring side

The Meningitis Trust is relaunching next year with a revised brand identity to be created by Inovus.

The move to rebrand the charity comes as the organisation celebrates its 21st anniversary in 2007. The intention is to update the charity’s brand to bring it more in line with its current activities.

It forms part of a long-term strategy to reposition the charity as a more caring organisation, according to Inovus creative director Kevin Johnson.

The redesigned brand identity includes a new feather icon and a brighter colour palette.

‘We chose the feather as an internationally recognised symbol of care and sensitivity that can achieve the visual cut-through that a smaller charity like this needs,’ says Johnson.

Inovus began working on the rebrand project about seven months ago. The consultancy is working up designs for the charity’s website, which will also launch next year.

The Meningitis Trust is the UK’s leading meningitis charity. Its support services include a free 24-hour helpline, professional counselling, home visiting and financial grants to sufferers.
