DBA names awards finalists

Newell and Sorrell and HGV lead the field of finalists in the Design Business Association’s sixth Design Effectiveness Awards. Each have four projects selected for the final stage.

MPL and Elmwood each have three projects contending for awards.

The following 13 consultancies each have two projects in the list of finalists: Wolff Olins; Raymond Loewy International; FLB; Dialog; Pearlfisher; Lewis Moberly; Sebastian Conran PID; Blackburn’s; Springpoint; The Partners; Pentagram; The Jones Design Company; and Design House.

Royal Mail and BT were the two top performing client companies, each with three projects in the final stages, all designed by different consultancies – Wolff Olins, Design Alliance and BDG/McColl for the Royal Mail, and Pillar Information Design, Raymond Loewy International and Kinneir Dufort Design for BT.

Asda, Boots, National Westminster Bank and Allied Distillers each secured two finalist spots. Results will be announced on 29 October at London’s Hilton Hotel.
