Westzone’s new angle of attack

Rose Design Associates has created the identity and brand strategy for new book publishing group Westzone Publishing.

Westzone’s book list will comprise an “eclectic” mix of lifestyle and cultural titles, and some radical and high profile authors.

This is typified by titles such as Zed Nelson’s Gun Nation, Meaningless Static by Paul Fryer and Damien Hirst, and Trust by Oliver Broomberg and Adrian Chanarin.

The logotype has been drawn using a cut of the Din typeface, with the addition of a degree symbol. This addition relates to the strapline for the company – New Angles on Life.

“Our new brand identity and communications strategy provides us with an innovative and fresh approach to publishing,” says Westzone managing director Nick Kenney.

“Westzone is about taking risks, and the adrenaline buzz that comes from going somewhere that you’ve never been before. Our books are about new photography, new shifts in contemporary culture, new ways of seeing the world,” he adds.

Although it has been recently unveiled to the publishing industry, Westzone formally launches to the public in September.
