The book, designed by Angus Hyland, is a selection of some of the products which have been granted Millennium Product status by the Design Council. It illustrates excellence and innovative solutions. Through the cover dustjacket, the image of a child drawing a spiral loosely refers to the logo of the Millennium Products. The child is adorning creativity; the allusion is towards British invention, to the spirit of developing ideas into functional products.
