Hero wins pitch for Animal charity

Hero has won a three-way credentials pitch against unnamed rivals to rebrand charity the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals.

The PDSA is the largest veterinary aid group in the UK, and also the biggest employer of vets and nurses, with some 44 veterinary centres and 145 charity shops.

Implementation of the rebranding will be completed over the next 12 months, and may involve a name change, says Hero creative director Mike Skidmore.

“The objectives for the new identity are to raise awareness of the charity’s role as a provider of treatment for sick and injured animals owned by those unable to pay for the treatment, and consequently to differentiate the PDSA from other high profile animal welfare charities,” he adds.

Hero, now embarking on initial research, will be responsible for developing signage, livery, literature and merchandise for a summer relaunch of the organisation.
