Mackenzie chosen to head new festival

A former artistic director at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Ruth Mackenzie, has been appointed general director for the Manchester International Festival, which takes place for the first time next summer. Mackenzie will be tasked with building partnerships within the public and private sectors.
