Overhauled LDA relaunches this autumn

The London Development Agency is relaunching in September with a revised brand identity created by Enterprise IG, following an extensive brand strategy development programme carried out by Corporate Edge.

The five-figure rebranding project has been 12 months in the pipeline and reflects new organisational values for the LDA as it undergoes various structural changes, says a spokeswoman for the LDA.

Enterprise IG has redesigned the existing visual identity (pictured) for the organisation and reviewed the tone of voice of the brand. Corporate Edge was tasked with carrying out the initial research to investigate an appropriate brand development strategy.

Both consultancies were appointed following separate pitches held during different phases of the rebranding initiative.

The LDA is in the process of signing off communication guidelines for the rebrand, and the new identity will start to roll out across the LDA’s marketing collateral from September.

The rebrand comes as the LDA merges its design team with the urban design staff from Transport for London and the Greater London Authority’s Architecture and Urbanism Unit, to form a new design body called Design for London (DW 29 June).

This will seek to boost urban design, architecture and sustainable development across the capital.
