New Anglo-German trains to carry stone

A fleet of Class 59 locomotives has been customised for an Anglo-German venture to transport English stone across Germany.

The trains, designed by Impact Design and Marketing, will carry Foster Yeoman’s quarried stone from Continental ports into Germany for Deutsche Bahn.

A red and blue livery covers the trains and incorporates both corporate colours of Deutsche Bahn and Yeoman. German law does not require trains to have yellow frontages as in the UK.

The Taunton consultancy recently redesigned the logo for Foster Yeoman, a 100m family-run mineral company.
