Tesco poised to appoint

Supermarket giant Tesco is believed to be on the verge of appointing a design group to review its corporate identity. It is expected to rationalise the growing number of sub-brands and corporate identities in use.

A spokeswoman for the group declines to confirm the appointment, which has been the subject of speculation for several months (DW 26 September). Many high profile groups expected to pitch have been excluded because of commitments to rival retailers.
