Creative Lynx does roaring trade with UN books

The United Nations is preparing to launch a series of handbooks, designed by Creative Lynx, to be distributed to its field representatives across the world.

The consultancy’s branch in Geneva, Creative Lynx Jackson et Associés, won the work following a competitive tender process last year. It is tasked with creating several handbooks for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The first publication, entitled a Handbook for Development Assistance for Refugees Programmes, is a text-heavy document and features a set of guidelines to help UN staff, donors and partners in the field of repatriation and reintegration. It includes an accompanying CD, also designed by Creative Lynx, which will be available as a downloadable PDF on the UNHCR website.

‘The book needs to be used as a reference tool. It includes symbols to reference information,’ says Creative Lynx Jackson et Associés partner Nick Jackson.

The second title in the series, Handbook for Self Reliance, will be similar to the first in its design. It is scheduled to launch in June.

‘We now hope to complete a number of further projects for the organisation to the same very high standard of design and delivery,’ he adds.
