Global look for children’s show

Metropolitan Design in Brighton has created an on-screen and corporate identity for children’s ITV series Jamboree, which begins transmission next March.

The 13-part series is the latest in a line of children’s programmes devised by the production company of former Playschool presenter Floella Benjamin.

According to Keith Taylor, creative director at Floella Benjamin Productions: “Flo asked Metropolitan Design head Nigel Ryan particularly to get a multicultural look to the identity, so it would look like the children could be from any where in the world.

“We are trying to make it [Jamboree] into a brand with merchandising planned. The logo will go across all of these.”

Metropolitan landed the project through its work for a multimedia company run by Jim Braithwaite, a director of Floella Benjamin Productions.
