Tin Horse will repaint Dulux

ICI Paints has appointed Tin Horse as its first strategic structural packaging consultancy to look at the entire Dulux brand portfolio.

Previously, Dulux has app-ointed consultancies on a “project by project” basis, working with two or three at any one time, a Tin Horse spokeswoman says.

Details of Tin Horse’s brief are shrouded in secrecy. “Tin Horse is working on a number of projects, related in part to new product development,” says Dulux marketing controller Phil Kent. He says that its first project is in “the innovation area” but refuses to reveal any details.

Tin Horse was appointed following a three-way, combination credentials and creative pitch. Kent refuses to name the groups that Tin Horse pitched against. Dulux still retains Coley Porter Bell as its graphic design group.
