Makeshift attempt to get beyond the wine label

It’s clever, but it doesn’t pour well – that’s the focus group verdict on a limited edition wine bottle candle, created by those dastardly designers at Make in London’s Clerkenwell.

Faced with a growing number of drink driving convictions and hefty sommelier bills, the group decided to inject a bit of fun into its downtime doodling, which is seen by some as a means of getting ‘beyond the label’.

Sadly, a wine-carrying candlestick hasn’t yet been mastered. It never got past the testing stages allegedly.
