Shower gels on the up

The bath and shower products market will grow by 18 per cent over the next three years, market analyst Euromonitor predicts in a new report.

Own-label currently accounts for 43 per cent of total sales in the sector and will continue to dominate, led by Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Avon, Superdrug and The Body Shop.

Euromonitor expects shower gels and bath additives to take almost 60 per cent of the market by 1988, reflecting increased enthusiasm for showering after sport and long relaxing baths.
