Aero due for refurnishing

Furniture design and retail group Aero is to be revamped after its purchase from receiver PriceWaterhouseCoopers by retail entrepreneur Gavin Aldred.

The former New Look head plans a move upmarket, refurbishing both London shops.

Venture capitalist 3i invested £500 000 in Aero two years ago, for a planned expansion by founder Paul Newman (DW 20 February 1998). All management at the company are now to be replaced, says Aldred.
