NE6 to rework Mayborn identity

Newcastle-based design consultancy NE6 has been appointed to redesign the corporate identity for the Mayborn Group.

The reworked identity will run across the group’s portfolio of companies, products and brands, including babycare brand Tommee Tippee, which is part of the Jackel International division.

NE6 was commissioned to carry out the project three weeks ago and is in the ‘throes of development’, according to NE6 managing director David Coates.

According to Coates, the reworked identity will have a completely different look ‘that is quite a move away’ from the existing version. It will launch this summer.

The work follows on from a raft of packaging projects that NE6 has carried out for Tommee Tippee. The consultancy recently created three packaging designs for a range of baby monitors.

The challenge was to demonstrate graphically the benefits of the products on the pack in order to communicate the information as ‘quickly as possible,’ explains Coates. The products will go on sale later this year.

NE6 has also designed packaging for Tommee Tippee’s latest baby-feeding Health Check bottles.

The Mayborn Group is UK-based, but has operations in the US, Hong Kong and China.
