New collection of stamps

Royal Mail is showcasing the work of four hat designers with the issue of Fabulous Hats, a collection of stamps that launches on 19 June.

All four designers, Philip Treacy, Pip Hackett, Dai Rees and Stephen Jones, have a long history of millinery, creating multi-use headwear, from everyday hats to high-profile catwalk creations.

The designers were asked by Royal Mail to create designs specifically for the stamps. The creations were photographed by celebrated fashion photographer Nick Knight, in a semi-silhouetted style.

It is the first time a special stamp issue has been devoted to hats. The stamps are issued in a presentation pack, designed by Rose Design.
