As part of the Barbican’s Inventing America series, Threads: Contemporary American Basketry runs until 30 September. Over 60 pieces by 14 contemporary basket makers are on show.

Picasso’s Ladies: Jewellery by Wendy Ramshaw will be exhibited in the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Silver Galleries. The exhibition shows from 8 September until 15 February.
