Holmes & Marchant draws pension jobs

PensionStore, a direct sales pension company, launched last week with its name and corporate identity created by Holmes & Marchant Communications.

Although initially formulated as a telephone-based service, PensionStore plans to open retail outlets. The design unit at Manchester shopfitting group Campbell and Armstrong is creating concepts for the outlets.

Owned by financial services group Liberty International, PensionStore aims to be honest and uncomplicated. The PensionStore name is capable of communicating those values, says Holmes & Marchant Communications managing director Steve Crowther.

The brand identity features three discs in blue for authority and prudence, green for security and fertility, and orange for accessibility. Literature has been designed by a direct mail firm.

Campbell and Armstrong design manager Roy Crone is due to present the design concepts for the retail outlets next week. “It is a revolutionary idea on how to market pensions on the high street,” says Crone.

The “technology-driven” interiors may first be seen at the Lakeside Thurrock shopping centre.
