West Country brewery Hop Back is launching a bottled version of its Summer Lightning ale (pictured), designed by London’s Storyboard.
The group, which created the brewery’s identity last year, won a paid creative pitch against a Wimbledon firm. It expects to design a label for another Hop Back brand to be launched in the autumn, according to Storyboard creative director Robert Fletcher.
“We chose the image of lightning because of the title and because the beer is a lighter colour than most ales,” says Fletcher.
Storyboard is also designing packaging for a new “alcopop” and a Ruddles ale. Both are due to be launched in June.
