Peters endorses devil-rocker’s royal performance

Michael Peters OBE wrote to The Independent this week praising Her Majesty’s foresight in signing up MTV soap star and rock-lizard-of-the-moment Ozzy Osbourne to appear at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee concert.

Turning the Buckingham Palace garden into a mini-Ozzfest is a progressive piece of brand strategy, Peters reckoned, giving the monarchy’s history-steeped image a fashionable filip.

Now she’s got the knack for this rebranding lark, Peters went on to suggest, the Queen should consider redesigning the royal coat of arms for her next coup de theatre.

Is this a serious new business pitch, we wonder, or is the Identica chairman just angling for another gong?
