The ‘voodoo chile’ strikes a chord with Audi team

What do guitar legend Jimi Hendrix and the Audi TT have in common? Ear-piercing noises as they warm up? Getting stuck in cross-town traffic on a Friday night?

The correct answer is ‘many musical influences’ inspired the Audi TT design team, but none more than the ‘timeless and dynamic quality of Hendrix’s music’, apparently. To prove it, Audi is launching ‘The Audi Hendrix Experience’, an exhibition of well-known and previously unseen images of Jimi – and a new car ad with a Hendrix soundtrack.

We’d love to know what the TT would look like if the office radio was playing Wu Tang Clan.
