Brand bursts its Way Forward

Hertfordshire-based group The Way Forward has created the identity for upmarket children’s retailer Bubbles, which opens this month with interiors by independent designer Rachel Eaton.

Bubbles is aimed at children aged up to ten and the company hopes to roll out a series of outlets across the UK over the next year.

The identity is designed to appeal to both mothers and children, and echoes the ‘translucency’ of bubbles, says The Way Forward creative director Paula Allibone. The colourways of purple, silvers and pinks aim to reflect the core colours found within bubbles, she adds.

The marque has been applied to external and internal signage, in-store graphics, gift boxes, postcards and facia. The group has also designed frosted carrier bags to mirror the bubble-style marque.

‘The work had to be both vibrant and fun,’ says Allibone. The consultancy was appointed to the project without a pitch.
