Poulter invents publication for HP Consulting

Poulter Partners has created Hewlett-Packard Consulting’s first overall review of operations, which launches next week.

The publication, Invent Your Future, is the result of a three-month strategic programme by HPC’s marketing team. However, it was originally suggested by Poulter Partners, which has worked with HP for about six years.

Poulter Partners head of design James Acton says, ‘The consulting arena is so incredibly complex and competitive, but there is no single source of information of what HPC can offer. It has never done anything like this before.’

Acton says people associate the parent company with ‘making fantastic printers’, but are unaware of its status as one of the biggest consultancy players in the world.

Invent Your Future looks at the world in 2051, using examples of how everyday items will be transformed in future. The idea is to make readers think about the world at large and how their companies fit into it.

‘[The publication] gives a sense of [the HPC] attitude and tonality, which was the hardest thing to do and has never been brought out before,’ Acton says. Written by James Bellini, the copy is laced with cerebral humour, he adds.

Invent Your Future had a £50 000 budget. Photography is by Robert Walker.
