London club to open with Sieff interiors

A private members’ club in London W1, aimed at the business community, opens on Friday (8 February), with interiors by Diana Sieff.

One Alfred Place, from the creators of Soho House, contains sleep cabins, shower rooms, a bar and meeting rooms. It features art by Barbara Hepworth and Andy Warhol, among others.

The furniture comprises Chesterfield and Howard sofas, George Smith armchairs and chairs by Bampton Design.

Turnell & Gigon, Conciluce and Original BTC provide the lighting, while most of the fabrics and wallpaper comes from Turnell & Gigon, Romo, Abbott & Boyd and Harlequin Harris.

Sieff says, ‘To soften the atmosphere and ensure that the club does not have an “office” feel, we have used rich and flamboyant colours and textures.’
