Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London returns to London’s Olympia on 13 & 14 September 2017. As the leading event of its kind, the exclusive two-day show will bring together senior brand and consultancy decision makers responsible for packaging design, creation and procurement.
New for 2017, the show will be launching its free-to-attend Pentawards Conference. This debut feature is being run in association with the Pentawards, the most prestigious worldwide competition exclusively devoted to packaging design in all its forms. It will consider the hottest topics, current trends, themes and issues facing the packaging designers and brand managers of today.
James Drake-Brockman, Divisional Director of Easyfairs’ Packaging Portfolio, says: “By collaborating with the Pentawards on the Pentawards Conference, we are able to bring something new and exclusive to London’s packaging and brand community. Over 2 days these sessions will address key challenges, will bring together the UK’s leading thinkers and will showcase the finest examples of packaging design. If the statistics are to be believed, 75% of buying decision are made at point of purchase. This means that the way a product is presented to the consumer is crucial to its success”
In addition to the Pentawards Conference, the show will also launch two major new developments to its programme, designed to help senior decision makers stay on top of the latest trends, challenges and solutions. For the first time ever visitors can be inspired by the Pentawards Exhibit, an exclusive first-look at some of the amazing shortlisted entries for the 2017 competition. Exclusive to this event, this showcase will enable decision makers to see the best that packaging design has to offer in a variety of industries. Also new to the event is the brand-new seminar format for its keynote theatre programme, which will allow greater focus on some of the packaging industry’s key markets through dedicated half day forums focusing on food, drink, beauty and luxury.
Visitors will also be presented with a series of interactive features allowing them to get expert advice on some of the biggest packaging challenges. This will include show favourites such as the Innovation Showcase, where exhibitors will go head to head, presenting their latest innovations to a panel of judges, before attendees vote for their favourite. The Innovation Wall will return to discuss the industry’s ideas and frustrations on the key subject of ‘innovation’. Finally, the Packaging Consultancy Clinic returns to give visitors the opportunity to gain one-to-one advice on any aspect of their packaging.
