Ferns go back further than you think

With regard to Tim Flach in Hot Shots (DW 14 November). I was rather taken that no one else seemed to have noticed that Carl Blossfeldt (1865-1932) started doing this type of work at the turn of the century – something I read in those potted histories which accompany those delightful Taschen postcard booklets.
