Chicago-based marketing communications group Bcom3 has shelved its plans to float this year. Although it had planned to float within the next six months, Bcom3 chief executive Roger Haupt announced in a letter to employees that the company’s board has decided not to pursue an IPO during 2001. Bcom3 owns ad agency BBH, which has a stake in The Identica Partnership.
