It’s time to wake up and smell the exhaust fumes

The British car industry has prided itself on its innovation and, in certain areas, it still seems to do so. Why is it then that Land Rover, perhaps one of the most ‘British’ of car brands, has not yet released a hybrid vehicle?

The British car industry has prided itself on its innovation and, in certain areas, it still seems to do so. Why is it then that Land Rover, perhaps one of the most ‘British’ of car brands, has not yet released a hybrid vehicle?

With all the negative press being

heaped on four by fours, isn’t it time that Land Rover woke up to the necessity of providing hybrid vehicles to an ever-increasing environmentally and socially aware consumer?

Toyota and Lexus are having huge success with their hybrids – with 90 per cent less emissions and over three times the fuel efficiency. You can see why the Toyota Prius is becoming one of the fastest selling cars in the US.
