Visual language for Austria’s answer to Wembley Stadium

Pentagram partner Justus Oehler has created a visual language for Austria’s answer to Wembley Stadium, the Wiener Stadthalle.

It is being applied to all printed material including signage, ticketing and merchandise. Oehler has constructed a graphic identity around a set of 12 colours representing the 12 venues within the Stadthalle group across Austria.

Oehler was approached by the client to undertake the work. The Wiener Stadthalle was built by Roland Rainer in the late 1950s and is funded by the Austrian government.
