Help the Dome-less

Television celebrities of another kind were in evidence at the launch of the Millennium Dome interiors last week.

Mark Thomas, eponymous hero of Channel Four show the Mark Thomas Comedy Product, hijacked the question and answer session of the conference, demanding to know how the Dome, meant to appeal to everybody, could help the homeless of London – many of whom, he pointed out, inhabit the concrete network outside the Royal Festival Hall, the venue of the conference.
