BA’s mystery identity

British Airways has denied rumours that Newell and Sorrell has been appointed to work on its corporate identity. ‘No appointments have been made and we work with a number of groups on a regular basis,’ says a BA spokeswoman.

BA confirmed in August that it was talking to several groups about its logo. Landor, Sampson Tyrrell and Australian group Cato Design are also believed to be in the running (Design Week 18 August). Newell and Sorrell declined to comment.
