This is the first in a series of posters by Rhodes Design for BAA, informing staff of uniform changes. ‘We wanted something witty and memorable,’ says Rhodes senior designer Julian Van Loxton. The London group researched retro photography for images which would appeal to the airport operator’s manual workers. The new gear, created by in-house designers at corporate clothing company Vermilion, will be implemented next winter.

Damien Hirst’s artwork will soon be available in all its 3D glory in a new book, due out in November. Called I Want To Spend The Rest Of My Life Everywhere With Everyone One To One Always Forever Now, the book is being designed by typeface designer Jonathan Barnbrook and published by Booth-Clibborn Editions. Barnbrook, who designed the book cover based on the Periodic Table, says no new typeface was created for the project. As for the 3D aspect, the book will feature Hirst’s work – including the sheep and shark in formaldehyde – as pop-ups.
