CAD on the run: Mutoh has released a 6in by 8in portable digitising tablet with 2540 ppi resolution and 0.25mm accuracy called the Kurta XGT-0608. It’s a serial device which includes Wintab-compliant drivers supported by most CAD applications and comes with a four button cordless cursor and a cordless pressure pen. There’s screen and tablet scaling and VisualTablet software which, it’s claimed, means you don’t have to look down from the screen to pick the appropriate template. Ring Mutoh UK on 01295 252 552 for details.
