CAD on the run: Mutoh has released a 6in by 8in portable digitising tablet with 2540 ppi resolution and 0.25mm accuracy called the Kurta XGT-0608. It’s a serial device which includes Wintab-compliant drivers supported by most CAD applications and comes with a four button cordless cursor and a cordless pressure pen. There’s screen and tablet scaling and VisualTablet software which, it’s claimed, means you don’t have to look down from the screen to pick the appropriate template.
