Radley Yeldar takeover of Creative Intelligence

London design group Radley Yeldar is set to acquire full ownership of corporate branding group Creative Intelligence, in which it previously owned a minority stake.

The move to push Radley Yeldar’s branding ability comes after a number of collaborative brand projects with Creative Intelligence, including the design of the Telewest broadband service Blueyonder (DW 31 March). The group’s existing expertise is in annual reports, literature and digital media.

Creative Intelligence directors Hugh Oxborrow and David Learman will continue to head the brand operation under the Radley Yeldar name and will share offices in London’s City Road.

“The deal will be in place within about three months’ time,” says Radley Yeldar financial director Andrew Gibbs. “It is a new area for the Radley Yeldar name to be involved with.”

Gibbs says the consultancy hopes to be able to begin landing more substantial branding projects and suggests that its lack of perceived involvement in the field may have cost it work in the past.

Branding projects already underway include rebranding Roxboro Group’s Solartron brand, and an identity project for law firm Herbert Smith. The group is also working on several dot.com identities including golf booking Web site Open-links.com and holiday accommodation site Zoomaway.com.
